Community, Partnerships & Donations
At Heavy Seas, our commitment goes beyond brewing bold, full-flavored beers. We believe in contributing to the well-being of our community.
To maximize our impact, we adopt a "quality over quantity" approach to larger-scale partnerships. We prioritize aligning with individuals and organizations that share our passion for overcoming obstacles to achieve meaningful missions. By focusing our efforts on select partnerships each year, we can make a more significant impact in our community.
2024 Confirmed partnerships
In 2024, Heavy Seas will partner with local Baltimore runner Tom Yorke for the monumental "MS Run the U.S." relay. This relay symbolizes resilience in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and aims to raise funds for MS research while supporting those affected by the disease.
From March to July 2024, Heavy Seas will host a series of fundraising events in our Taproom, with a portion of proceeds from every pint sold directly supporting MS Run the U.S.
Check out our Brand Manager, Caroline Sisson’s, interview with Tom below:
The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) is Maryland’s largest companion animal shelter and the sole open-admission shelter in Baltimore City, providing refuge for over 12,000 animals annually.
Heavy Seas has proudly partnered with BARCS for 6 years. Each year, we brew a collaboration beer, with proceeds from its sales donated to support BARCS’ vital mission in saving lives and giving medical care to pets in need.
Donations
We receive numerous requests for charitable donations or silent auction items. While we try to accommodate as many as possible, we have specific parameters to guide our process in determining which requests we will support.
Donation or silent auction requests must be placed at least 30 days prior to the date of your event. The more time notice you can give us, the better!
Due to the amount of requests we receive, we will only respond to requests that we can fulfill. If you do not hear from us within 5 business days, we unfortunately cannot provide you a donation at this time.
All donation requests must be submitted online (form below).
If requesting a beer donation, we request that the organization provides a 501(c)(3).
It is unlawful for us to provide beer donations to any organization holding a liquor license.
We do not provide cash donations.
Organizations/groups we do not support:
Organizations without a 501(c)(3)
Individuals hosting their own personal events
Religious activities
Children’s groups
